Dr. Clara Walters is a distinguished educator who has been widely recognized for her dynamic leadership skills in turning classrooms and schools into effective learning organizations where all students are made to feel “At promise of greatness” utilizing motivation, inspiration, education (curriculum & instruction), direction, and correction. Dr. Walters further refined her systematic approach for enhancing leadership for school improvement as supervisor of secondary school principals for Orange County Public Schools where she trained, coached and mentored school leaders in the attributes and skills necessary for success in urban and suburban settings.
As an educator interacting with families, schools, youth organizations and businesses for many years, Dr. Walters saw commonalities in the need for leadership enhancement for effectiveness and productivity in these social systems and collaborated with a team of educators, parents and business leaders to develop a training program. The model combined many years of action research and experience into real-world application, creating innovative strategies for developing the power to lead in others.
Educational & Leadership Training, Inc. was founded by Dr. Walters as a result of the need for leadership and management development in families, schools, youth organizations and businesses. She is creator of the “Leading by Design Not by Chance” Series which includes a component for parents, schools, youth organizations and businesses.
Dr. Walters is well equipped for program development and training that deals with leadership and management development. Her training and experience include a Bachelor of Science Degree in English, A Masters Degree in Administration/Supervision and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. She has experience as a parent, teacher, assistant principal, Principal of both junior and senior high schools, supervisor of secondary school principals and educational consultant and trainer. In addition to training and experience, she is a dynamic facilitator and public speaker.
